Kevin Stimmel, PT, DPT
Doctorate of Physical Therapy
Kevin joined the Progressive Physical Therapy team in 2026. He has lived and worked in various states around the country before deciding Alaska was home. He was a Division 1 athlete at Sacred Heart University, where he completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2019. Following graduation, he began his career working with and rehabilitating professional, collegiate, and high-level high school athletes, guiding them from injury back to the highest level of competition.
Kevin uses a functional loading approach for various orthopedic conditions, combining it with manual techniques and dry needling to maximize patient outcomes. Kevin has completed continuing coursework, through the Institute of Clinical Excellence, The Montana Running Lab, SFMA, and Postural Restoration Institute to bring a well-rounded and multifaceted approach to his patients. He is passionate about working with people who want to return to athletic competition, lifting, as well as active individuals looking to make the most of their outdoor adventures in Alaska.
In his free time, Kevin enjoys hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and traveling with his wife, Danielle. He also enjoys spending time with his dog Griffin. For fitness, he likes weight training, calisthenics, and XC skiing.
Kevin is excited to be a part of the Progressive team and to encourage patients to achieve their full potential while striving to reach each person's specific goals.
